Drawing Growth
Drawing Projects, Turner Brooks
Spring 2022
Over the course of four months, I studied a cutting of a pothos plant which was growing in a jar of water. The process of propagating plants demonstrates their fundamentally abundant capacity for growth, undermining the worldview that we live in a space of scarcity and competition. My aim was to express this modest but, to me, profound abundance through a series of drawings.
